i4MS in Brussels
I4MS 2016 - The I4MS initiative targets to help SEM2 and mid-caps in the manufacturing process

In July 2013 the European Commission launched a new 77 million Euro innovation initiative for the manufacturing sector and in particular its high-tech small and medium size enterprises (SMEs), to profit from newest advances in ICT: I4MS (Innovation for Manufacturing SMEs). Therefore more than 160 innovation experiments to be launched in the next 3 years, European innovators are connected across the value chain to mature and adopt ICT innovations across the production value chain spanning from design and engineering down to laser-based manufacturing and industrial robotics. Experiments are implemented with the help of pan-European networks of competence centres providing the knowledge and support for partnering beyond national boundaries.
The project I4MS-Gate is a FP7 CSA that aims at multiplying the innovation impact of more than 160 European ICT for Manufacturing Experiments planned in the I4MS Programme (FORTISSIMO, CloudFlow, CloudSME, INTEFIX, APPOLO, LASHARE). I4MS-Gate also aims at amplifying the findings of two European R&D ICT road-mapping activities (Road2Fame and PathFinder). I4MS-Gate will deliver the reference European portal on ICT Innovation for Manufacturing SMEs.
